Tragic news

Ok. I decided that I really don't like having to title these things. There really is no tragic news other than the fact that I won't be updating this until we get back from MN/WI. I really can't wait until I see my family. Nana said that E man is crawling all over the place. WOW! I just knew that would happen. Anyway, There is not much else going on. We are finally done with school. The last few days were HORRIBLE. We lost a very needed and loved faculty member on Wednesday. Our nurse, who is also a friend to all of us and our kids, passed away. She was only 36. So, yeah, I guess that is the tragic news. She had a heart attack and some other complications. It was hard having to tell the students. Especially my class, I have a few that have to see her on a daily basis. So, they formed a relationship with her. That might have been the only medical attention they really ever recieved. I have to go to the funeral on Tuesday. I really don't like funerals, but who does. This whole thing made me realize that we really aren't as invincible as we think. So, on a closing note, hug your kids today and thank God that he gave you your life and health.

Lovely Saturday

Here we are. On a beautiful Saturday. No real plans for the day, just hanging out with the kids. A and J are playing "rocket" from the Little Einsteins show. Let me just take this time to brag about my A! He sat down the other night and wrote out words that his daddy told him to write. No, no naughty words, Santa is watching after all..... No, Mr. V would tell him a word, A would sound it out and then write it on a piece of paper. I am so proud of him showing off for his daddy, helping him come to the conclusion that school is worth it when you are 4. I will try to take a picture of the paper and let you see for yourselves how wonderfully smart my A is!
J, well, let's see...... She showed me how to do "hot wheels" on the couch at Ms. C's. She is definately the tom boy type. That is fine with me, I am not all that girly anyway. Miss R and Miss E were telling me that she loves to pretend to do karate. Maybe karate lessons are in store for us instead of ballet. She is definately the entertainment. I love watching her play mom. She bosses everything and everyone in their path. I keep telling her to save the attitude and strongwilledness(is that even a word?) for all time..... She will need that when she grows up. Uh, oh, I hear a fight about to happen. A just told J that she can't play with him anymore..... Gotta run!

Miss Whiny

Will it ever happen? Will it? Will Jenna learn to ever go in her own bed and not get up 12 million times? Will Aidan ever learn to sleep in his own bed for more than just 3 hours? Oh, Lord, when will it happen? When will I ever get more than 3 hours of sleep, straight, without interruption????? 7 more days with my wonderful students, students that are wanting and needing a break from each other and me. Can't wait. Told you I was whiny tonight!!!

2 Weeks Left

Here is one of the final attempts to create a worthwhile Christmas picture. We went through 3 rolls of film. Chelsea the dog finally decided to cooperate on this one. Anyway, we only have 2 weeks left of school then we can break for a while. I can't wait to head up to MN and see the family. I haven't seen E man in 6 months, and I bet that he is crawling.... This is what sucks about living so far away from your family. SJ, BJ and MJ are all grown-up too.

We went over to one of Aunt J's friends last night and had a great time! Miss F is getting so big and is walking..... She is an absolute delight. A and J of course were their shining best. J was shy to begin with but then took it upon herself to flirt with Mr. B. A was all over the place and making everyone laugh. We tried to talk Mr. V into calling in sick, but that didn't work. It was very good to see the B family and I hope that they made it home safely.

Anyway, it is off to do my Sunday morning duties. Mainly laundry. There is lots of it today! We are also going to make Christmas cookies. I also look forward to the football games. We are trying on keeping the TV off, but football Sundays make that impossible! Have a great Sunday!
